Tour of Tajmahal

A pleasant town with a comparatively slow pace, Agra-the architectural splendour of the mausoleums,which is known for its superb inlay work on marble and soapstone by craftsmen who are descendants of those who worked under the Mughals.

It is pure white marble formation, attains diverse shades at different times of the day and with altering seasons. This most famous monument was constructed by emperor Shah Jehan in memory of his beloved wife Mumtaz who died after 17 years of marriage after giving the birth of 14th child.
